Communiqué to the People of Michigan
COMMUNIQUE TO THE PEOPLE

What is the Michigan People’s Independence Party?
The Michigan People’s Independence Party, or MPIP, is a political party that aims to unite the people’s of Michigan under the broad banner or progression, change, and economic recovery through solidarity by revolutionizing the current governmental structure and establishing new, community based, social programs as well as fortifying those that already exist. The MPIP recognizes that the only way to go about rebuilding the economy and implementing the broad social changes necessary to repair the damage done by perpetual combat done by the current opposing political entities of the state is to seek haven from federal control and imposition of out of state programs.
The MPIP sees that the only way to bypass these imposed federal controls, and thus truly bring about change, is to either pass federal legislation allowing the state more control over its own economic base, promote autonomy of the state in order to allow the people to bring about their own community based programs, in turn repairing the economy, or to seek independence of the state from the federal government outright.

Is the Michigan People’s Independence Party Liberal or Conservative?
The MPIP is neither, but is a proponent of democratic third way politics where both Republicans and Democrats are encouraged to abandon bi-partisan politics and rather vote on issues according to their own ideology and morals, not those of a higher political entity. The MPIP recognizes and upholds that the state of Michigan may only be united when the government too is united- a broad people’s front must be built in order to reform the government and its socio-economic base, and therefore- the MPIP officially accepts a centrist attitude excluding the core political ideology of the party.

What is the core political ideology of the Michigan People’s Independence Party?
The MPIP aims to establish a symbiotic liberalism between the federal government and the state as opposed to the current political impositions placed upon our local populous, the MPIP aims to establish a universal healthcare system to be dictated by the people of the state as opposed to a centralized government, the MPIP aims to reach out and protect the environment, in particular the UP and out great lakes, from businesses who would otherwise seek to exploit and destroy it, furthermore and finally, the MPIP demands, and shall continue to demand, the immediate withdrawal of Michiganite troops for Iraq and Afghanistan. These issues represent the core ideology of the party- independence, solidarity, symbiosis, and peace.

The Michigan People’s Independence Party is a political front whose soul purpose is to repair the imploded Michigan economy by political action and revolution. To the enemies of the MPIP, let it be known that our existence could not come to pass had certain existing socio-economic conditions not be present in our society. Thousands die every year because of political impositions placed upon the people of the state- the elderly and economically depressed cannot afford necessary medicines, the homeless die in the streets of starvation and the winter’s fury, and the government of the state does not have enough power to promote the social programs necessary to solve these conflicts. Our party is a people’s party, born out of the inconsistencies of the political organs of the United States. We will not yield to federalism because federalism has yet to yield to us!

In Solidarity,
The Michigan People’s Independence Party
